Sagittarius A* is a repetitive and ever-changing composition that transcends norms. The synesthetic and minimal rhythm of light and sound allow us to enter a state of trance. It expands our senses through glitch aesthetics, dysfunctional beauty and a black and white palette. Within the liminal time and space, care and attention blossom. Moments of endless transformation defy definition, inviting observers into an undefined realm. Sagittarius A* becomes a meditative journey through constant flux, where every instance is a canvas for exploration and redefinition.
Livia Ribichini is a visual artist who began her artistic journey by creating light installations and studying the interactions between the viewer and physical space. Soon her practice began to shift from light art to digital art. There is a correspondence in the way Livia manipulates sculptures and digital works: the medium is unstable and precarious, the form is fluid and constantly evolving.
In this way she tries to work with opposite boundaries: matter and data, body and digital, past and future, real and dream, automatism and free will. Her recent research aims at showing how machine error can interpret our world. With the latest technologies we try to duplicate a realistic world that seeks a perfection that has never existed and will never exist.
