Try Burning It, The Fire Manifesto

This work pays homage to the mesmerising qualities of fire. The installation, crafted through experimental research and analog projection, immerses you in the dancing flames and its hypnotic glow. It celebrates the profound bond between art and nature, highlighting the raw power and duality of fire, symbolising both warmth and peril. The work sparks curiosity and evokes wonder, encouraging a deep appreciation for nature's essence.

Ayşe is fascinated by the power of natural phenomena. The vastness of the sky, the flickering flames of a campfire and the untamed energy of the sea.. In her work, she aims to capture and isolate these experiences, creating immersive and multisensory installations that encourage contemplation and introspection. Exploring themes of nullity, existentialism and the auratic, Ayşe aims to create a balance between the dark, complex emotions that arise when confronted with the sublime as well as its beauty. Using lenses, mirrors, light and fire, spectators are invited to interact with the work, resulting in a shared space in which new perspectives emerge.
