Recalibration 00:00:00:00 is an installation that explores the relation between embodied presence, perception, and technological systems. Subtle shifts in light and shadow are detected by a feedback loop of light sensors. Some of these shifts are introduced by your own movements as a viewer, some are generated autonomously by the machines. These disruptions are translated to audio in real time, giving form to a continuous dialogue between body, environment and system.
About the artist
Pita Kim Youbin is a visual artist with a background in spatial design, creating research-driven, narrative environments that explore form, space, and perception. Her work combines sensory media, spatial systems, and visual language to make intangible experiences tangible, often through installation. She challenges human-centered perspectives, focusing on relationships with objects, machines, and systems. Pita investigates how perception and agency arise not from control but from listening, moving, and tracing our place within networks. At the heart of her practice is the tension between the mechanical and the sensory, inviting experience beyond language or conscious thought.
